IT Outsource Consulting Delivery Director

Based from home, commutable to Central London - amazing company with longevity but also recent success and growth driving need to recruit an IT Outsource Consulting Director to join management team to grow and develop existing accounts along with the creation of new business.  The role is a mix of account management, business development and consultancy therefore.  

As well as a proven IT outsource sales track record, you will have strong account delivery experience, probably from a 3rd party outsourcing service provider or from a major bluechip that has outsourced elements of its IT which you managed.  Ideally therefore someone who not only has sold IT Outsourcing contracts but who has taken ownership of the delivery and implementation of these.  Your experience must include a delivery background - outsourcing - worked on RFPs, helped to win business and gone on to be Service Delivery Manager - you maybe have been TUPE'd across to an outsource company.

Key tasks and responsibilities
Management - work with management team to manage and drive business forward; play key role and contribute to future strategy of company assisting with business planning, analysis and reporting

Business Development
" Responsible for development and expansion of key accounts
" Set strategy and direction of consulting engagements / Provide marketing support and collateral
" Structure, write and sell consulting proposals / Deliver assignments and build customer relationships

Client Management
" Grow and manage your own portfolio of clients, with a key responsibility to develop and expand key accounts
" Have ability to deal with clients at all levels and build trusted relationships to allow for account development/growth within those accounts
" Maintain strong relationships / Represent interests of the team
" Handle objections and ensure these are brought to a successful conclusion

Service delivery
" Supervise / deliver client projects, set strategic direction and ensure projects are within scope, budget and meet / exceed our client's expectations (projects are mainly in UK and Europe, but some long distance travel may be required)
" Take responsibility for overall performance of project/account team
" Focus people on critical activities that yield a high impact
" Balance both client's and our requirements
" Contribute to outsourcing related research and analysis
" Have sound project and/or programme management skills
" Be flexible with ability to apply a wide range of methodologies to consulting projects
" Inspire strong sense of passion and initiative for achieving and exceeding team results

Finance - in conjunction with others in management team, develop and execute account business plans, budgets and financial forecasts and work in collaboration with all resources to achieve profitable revenue growth

People - recognise key talent for hiring and promotion decisions whilst helping grow and mentor team members; facilitating open exchange of ideas and inspiring excellent team performance, ensuring team actions are aligned with client needs, expectations and values

Person Specification
" Specialist, typically with over 10 yrs strong IT services background
" Significant amount of previous experience spent on developing customer relationships and winning new business
" Able to work with complex customer with multiple stakeholders
" Previous experience of handling at least five or six major multi-million dollar accounts and awareness of IT services sales cycles, consultative selling, project management best practices, quality initiatives, solution architecting and business processes
" Delivery background - consultancy, CIO, IT services or applications delivery
" Ability to develop relevant opinions and solutions and engage in consultative fashion with clients
" Self-starter/motivated with strong entrepreneurial flair with a passion for building successful relationships

Personal - can be based from home anywhere within practical commutable distance of Warwickshire OR London; ideally graduate although not essential, but certainly good level of education and above average intellectual capability

Work experience and achievements
" At least 10 years of experience in outsourcing industry, preferably working in sales/account development role for 3rd party service provider
" Solid experience in structuring and selling propositions in response to client need
" Relevant professional accreditation(s) desirable
" Ability to build strong client relationships to ensure account growth can be achieved
" Ability to summarise and communicate project findings verbally, numerically and graphically through presentations

On offer
Basic salary: competitive negotiable basic salary c £100k - £120k
Bonus: expected to be c20%
Car allowance/mileage

Life cover: 4 x basic salary
