Data Architect - Nantwich

My Global client with offices based in the Cheshire area are looking to Recruit a Data Architect

The successful candidate will play a key role in the clients Data Management strategy; developing, maintaining and enhancing Data Architecture for their Data Warehouse, Data Marts, Data Models, BI initiatives and ERP environment.  Experience of Power BI or Tableau would be of particular interest

Working closely with key business partners within our business, internal teams, and external contractors, the successful candidate will help to:

• Design, build, and maintain our Data Warehouses and complex SQL databases and other data systems (like Oracle or Dynamics 365) on a global, enterprise level

• Develop and implement strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and data divestment

• Work with and Support our business partners to identify and develop data solutions that meet the business requirements

• Work with and provide direction to our database and BI developer to meet the business and technical requirements

• Build and Maintain solid Data Models, and conduct Data Model Reviews

Key skills & qualities:

• Proven data modelling experience and key understanding of relational database development (on premise and in the cloud). Amongst other, the data modelling experience includes the complete data warehouse design, implementation practices, and project life cycle (requirements gathering, architecture, design, implementation, tuning, migration, and decommissioning)

• Proven experience in the process of extracting data from multiple sources including a data warehouse environment

• Experience in creating data warehouse frameworks and performance tuning of a data warehouse. This includes being capable of performance optimisation and tuning within reporting applications

• Experience in using any data modelling tools such as Erwin, SQL Enterprise, Power Designer, etc.

• A self-motivated team player

• Ability to work in and manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines.

• Excellent oral and writing skills with ability to communicate in an organised and concise manner

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (2/3 times a year)

• Relevant university degree
